We recently celebrated International Women's Day here in the United States and I want to take a moment to honor the life and legacy of an inspiring woman in design: Iris Apfel.

What a grand, bold, and joyful journey she had! Iris inspired us with her iconic style, distinctive interior design, and vibrant spirit. The photos above at The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida portray Iris in all her glory!

I had the great pleasure of meeting Iris at an intimate poolside party last spring. She loved taking photos of her friends, many of which were sold for charity. It was a very sweet celebration of creativity and friendship. I look forward to inviting all of you to join us at upcoming events in our showroom and online as we celebrate women in design.

We'll soon be unveiling some amazing bespoke pieces designed by Danish design legends like Hans Wegner and Finn Juhl, reimagined with textiles designed by modern Scandinavian women in textile artistry. We'll also feature exhibitions of women in Scandinavian art and design.
