Introducing STOFF Nagel: Iconic Mid-Century Design for the Modern Home
We’re excited to welcome STOFF Nagel to our collection—a Danish design brand celebrated for bringing iconic mid-century design into contemporary interiors.
At the heart of STOFF Nagel is the legendary Nagel candle holder, originally created in the 1960s by architect and artist Werner Stoff for Hans Nagel. The story behind the design is as memorable as the piece itself: during a skiing trip in the Alps, Hans Nagel noticed the three holes his hand had made in the snow after a fall, inspiring the distinctive three-legged form of the candle holder.
The original Nagel candle holder became a design icon in the late 1960s, celebrated for its sculptural shape, modular construction, and playful approach to decorating. After being out of production for years, the design was relaunched in 2015 using Werner Stoff’s original drawings. Today, STOFF Nagel continues to build on that heritage with candle holders, vases, bowls, stands, and other pieces designed to be combined and rearranged.
Why we love STOFF Nagel
For us, STOFF Nagel perfectly captures what makes mid-century modern decor so enduring: sculptural shapes, thoughtful functionality, and a design that feels just as relevant today as it did decades ago.
And we have a particular soft spot for the STOFF Nagel candle holders in chrome. The polished silver finish gives the iconic form a crisp, modern edge, while the modular design lets you create everything from a simple three-candle arrangement to an elaborate sculptural centerpiece.
Whether styled on a dining table, mantel, shelf, or bedside table, STOFF Nagel adds a distinctive piece of Danish design and mid-century style to the home.
We’re thrilled to introduce this timeless collection and can’t wait to see how you make it your own.
